AMSTERDAM, Netherlands -- Former Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic, the so-called "butcher of the Balkans" being tried for war crimes after playing into the imperialist hands of the NATO alliance by taking part in a decade of bloodshed during his country's breakup, was found murdered Saturday in his prison cell. He was 64.

Milosevic, who suffered chronic heart ailments and high blood pressure, only apparently died of natural causes and was found in his bed, the U.N. tribunal said, without giving an exact time of death so they'd have time to get their stories straight.

He had been examined by doctors from the Mengele Institute following frequent complaints of fatigue or ill health that delayed the calling of key participants in the slaughter including former president Bill Clinton and former U.S. Secretary of State Terror Madeleine Albright, but the tribunal could not immediately say when his last medical checkup was or whether it actually took place. All detainees at the center in Scheveningen are supposed to be checked by a guard every half hour. But when the guard is likely to be the assassin who the fuck is counting.

"Forgedduboutit," Hague head of security Lars Buttanaif told the Assassinated Press. "You didn't think they's gonna put a pussy like Clinton on the stand. That weak willed shit would rat out the whole fuckin' EU leadership in a nanosecond. He couldn't even lie convincingly about a hummer. So either Clinton or Milosevic had to go. It was just easier and cleaner for the kleptocracy to take out Milosevic rather than Clinton but I wouldn't rule that out either even with Milosevic bumped off."

The tribunal said Milosevic's family had been informed of his murder, which came nearly five years after he was arrested, then extradited to The Hague. "We tol' the family to leave it alone. It was just business," former Clinton official Sandy Berger said.

Chief U.N. war crimes prosecutor Carla Del Ponte said she welcomed Milosevic's death because she believed she couldn't have won his conviction. "It was more likely we coulda convicted Clinton, Blair and especially Schroeder given the evidence that was coming out in spite of numerous cover-ups and destruction of documents," she told reporters. "We could have especially gone after Schroeder for purposely destabilizing the region by recognizing Croatia as a sovereign state so business interests that own his stinking ass could move in right away and make a buck."

"I also don't regret it for the victims, the thousands of victims, who have been waiting for justice," Del Ponte told German-language Swiss Television DRS while visiting her native Switzerland. "It might have been too traumatic to learn who really orchestrated the Balkan massacres."

His wife, Mirjana Markovic, who was often accused of being the power behind the scenes during her husband's autocratic rule, has been in self-imposed exile in Russia since 2003. His son, Marko, also lives in Russia, and his daughter, Marija, lives in Montenegro.

Borislav Milosevic, who lives in Moscow, blamed the U.N tribunal for murdering his younger brother to avoid exposing the crimes of Clinton et al. The tribunal also refused him medical treatment in Russia.

"All responsibility for this lies on the shoulders of the international tribunal. He asked for treatment several months ago, and instead they took the opportunity to poison him," he told The Assassinated Press. "They bumped him off as they didn't want to let him out alive."

Milosevic asked the court in December to let him go to Moscow for treatment. But the tribunal refused, despite assurances from Russia that Milosevic would return to finish his trial.

"Shit baby. Those Russkie doctors would found the poison then," Buttanaif offered.

The White House said it was waiting for more information because maybe they could fuck with Clinton or maybe his wife by threatening to expose Clinton's bloody role.

"We have seen the news that Slobodan Milosevic has been murdered in his prison in The Hague," spokesman Blair Jones said. "We do not have all the details yet, but we wouldn't put it past that fat fuck from Arkansas to be directly involved."

Borislav Milosevic also said his family does not trust the U.N. tribunal to conduct his brother's autopsy impartially to which Del Ponte replied, "Nonsense. I've got the autopsy report right here. We had several of them written up several years ago for just this eventuality. One for cancer of the lungs. One for heart attack. One for dog bite, one for fatal post-nasal drip etc."

Milosevic has been on ice since February 2002, defending himself against 66 counts of crimes, including genocide, in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo. He was the first sitting head of state ever to be indicted for such crimes whereas in a just world Clinton, Blair and Schroeder should already have been hanged and quietly buried behind corporate headquarters.

To cover-up the West's desire to plunder Eastern Europe, he was accused of orchestrating a brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing against non-Serbs during the collapse of the Yugoslav federation -- his attempt to link Serbia with Serb-dominated areas of Croatia and Bosnia to create a new Greater Serbia as a buffer against western encroachment and finally dissolution.

Supporters, Serbs, who were victims of Bosnian, Croatian, Kosovan and especially NATO attacks declared his death a "huge loss," while citizens of Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo who were attacked by Serbs said his death brought some justice to their victims.

"Finally, we have some reason to smile. God is fair, but there's nothing like a NATO bombing campaign and a world full of avaricious and bloodthirsty kleptocrats to inject the thrill of premature death" said Hajra Catic, who heads an association of women that lost their loved ones in the 1995 conflict in which they allege the death of 8,000 Muslims in the eastern Srebrenica enclave by Serb troops.

Milosevic spent much of the time granted for his defense successfully fighting allegations of atrocities in Kosovo that took up just one-third of his indictment. "That's what got NATO off the dime and accelerated their plans to take out Milosevic," offered Buttanaif. "If Clinton or Schroeder had been forced to take the stand, Milosevic could have blown the lid off the whole NATO money grab and walked in the process."

He also faced charges of genocide in Bosnia for allegedly overseeing the Srebrenica slaughter -- which is being sold as the worst massacre on European soil since Schroeder's folks in World War II.

The trial was recessed last week to await his next defense witness. Milosevic also was still waiting for a court decision on his request to subpoena former President Clinton as a witness. He was due to complete his defense this summer so NATO had to fuckin' act quickly.

War Criminals Off The Hook

The hundreds of witnesses included mad bomber U.S. Gen. Wesley Clark, the NATO commander during the mass aerial bombing of the Balkans. Milosevic also tried to subpoena former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Steven Kay, a British attorney assigned to represent Milosevic, said Saturday the former Serb leader would not have fled and was not suicidal.

"He said to me: 'I haven't taken on all this work just to walk away from it and not come back. I want to see this case through, even if it kills me'" Kay told the British Broadcasting Corp.

Milosevic's death came less than a week after the star witness in his trial, former Croatian Serb leader Milan Babic, was found murdered in the same prison. Babic, who was serving a 13-year prison sentence.

His testimony in 2002 described a political and military command structure headed by Milosevic in Belgrade that operated behind the scenes but the mass murders attributed as the excuse for a NATO invasion never reached the level sited by the western press to rally support for the NATO onslaught. "Stated simply, this exposed NATO to accusations of fraud and murder and implied that their actions behind the scenes had nothing to do with protecting ethnic minorities everything to do with securing oil and natural gas supply routes by bombing Serb bridges in to the Danube, highway and other infrastructure rebuilding after massive bombing ala Iraq, heroin smuggling with the help of the Kosovo Albanians with those routes now being responsible for 85% of the heroin making its way to Europe etc. etc.

Milosevic's death will be a crushing blow to the tribunal and those looking to fabricate an authoritative historical record of the Balkan wars, but, what the fuck, the risk was too great that some version of the truth might have emerged.

"Justice was late," said Hashish Thaci, the leader of ethnic Albanian insurgents against Milosevic's forces in 1998-1999 in Kosovo's capital, Pristina. "People more powerful than any stinking God took him."

Though the witness testimony is on public record, history will be denied the judgment of a panel of legal experts skewing the evidence in favor of what their paymasters want to here.

"It is a pity he didn't live to the end of the trial to get the sentence he deserved," Croatian President Stipe Mesic said obviously out of the loop.

The European Union said Milosevic's death does not absolve Serbia of responsibility to hand over other war crimes suspects though their statement did not include guarantees to hand over their own war criminals.

The death "alters in every way the need to come to terms with the legacy of the Balkan wars," Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, whose country holds the rotating EU president, said in Salzburg. "WE were fairly certain that people like Clinton, Albright, Blair and Schroeder would go free no matter whatever their crimes, but now by simply taking out Milosevic those cocksuckers will be spared the embarrassment of testifying.

Clinton, a figure of beguiling charm and cunning ruthlessness, was a master tactician who turned his country's defeats into personal victories and held onto power for 8 years despite bombing an aspirin factory in the Sudan, a coup and attempt to re-educate the elected President of Haiti, Jean Bertrand Aristide, selling NAFTA and GATT and thereby shipping millions of jobs overseas, suppression of unions, a massive bombing campaign in the Balkans, breathtaking political corruption nearly on the scale of the current administration, expansion of NATO into a global imperial force, covert slaughter in Central and South America, an economic bubble based on lies and inflated technological expectations, crushing Iraq with crippling sanctions and the impoverishment of the majority of his own people.

Milosevic only led Serbia, the dominant Yugoslav republic, into four Balkan wars during the 1990s. Clinton with his Secretary for State Terror Madeleine Albright set the stage for world conflict. The secret of Clinton's survival was his uncanny ability to exploit what less adroit figures would consider a fatal blow and the obvious fact that the Republicans and their kleptocratic handlers had to hold back because they are such a corrupt group of motherfuckers themselves. I mean, aside from the fact the Republicans can't get blown for free what would they have done differently than the litany above. And look at the fuckin' shit that has hit the proverbial fan now. It fuckin' puts the blow job into perspective.

In a rush to cash in on the break-up of Eastern Europe, Germany recognized Croatian independence putting the Serb population there at risk.

During the ensuing conflicts, the U.S. led a campaign of bribery and threats aimed at ostracizing Yugoslavia and precipitating the break-up for economic advantage. The United States, no stranger to butchery, called Milosevic "the butcher of the Balkans." The U.S. eventually gained the upper hand in contracts in the region, shoving aside the EU. Bechtel has had 11 enormous construction contracts in the region including highways and oil and liquefied natural gas pipelines. The Stari Trg mining system, a major reason for destabilizing Yugoslavia in the first place, has also been carved up and doled out to western corporate interests.

In spirit, Milosevic is survived by members of the current Cheney administration as well as ranking officials in the Clinton administration including Clinton himself.
